You know, I debated that one (TSoP) several times when I was making the list, and was still weighing whether I should switch it out for another one right up to when I posted. I think it is an important episode, and Kirk's reactions really are priceless. It's dumb, though -- I have an aversion to this episode because the stunt doubles in the fight scene between Kirk and Spock are so obviously not them, it really bugs me. It should be the big dramatic confrontation, but it just makes me laugh, and it kind of kills the whole thing for me. I finally decided I didn't want to give up any of the others.

There are some other eps that I think have really significant stuff in them (The Changeling, Plato's Stepchildren, etc.) but that I left off the list because the cheese factor is significantly annoying in my subjective view. I was trying to think about what I'd show somebody who'd never seen Star Trek. But another day, I might pick a different 10. *g*
