I'm one of the rare few (I think) who don't believe that the words spoken by Lorne, Fred or Groo could actually effect their feelings for each other.
I agree with this 100%, I just feel that it should have been shown, on Angel's side a bit more and way more on Cordelia's side. I just really hate, no matter if I'm for or against a pairing, writing like A/C got with so much telling from other characters and not relying on the already strong and wonderful foundation A/C had that started building from that first meeting in City Of... heck you could even argue it started during Buffy Season 2, they just caught up in High School crap (which is kind of beyond pathetic for Angel, LOL.)
