You make perfect sense, truly. I feel the same way about some other fandoms. One just doesn't want to mess with what's already perfect. Something must be set aside when we slash anyone at all, and it's a personal choice whether that loss is worth the gain of some great slashy stories. I'm thrilled that you liked the essay anyway!
