That's interesting because me, I'd say he was more of a pseudo-Slayer. A rogue Slayer, even, which might explain why he bonds with Faith. And training aside, hasn't Giles over and over again rejected the CoW's way of doing things and ranged himself beside Buffy, endorsing, aiding and abetting her unorthodox methods?
