Thanks! I'm glad you liked it and find the pairing plausible; it's certainly very rewarding to write. They bring out, well, maybe not always the best, heh, in each other, but there's a stripping away of pretence which is refreshing.

No. When some LJ friends and I decided it should be Regency week on LJ, I posted some excerpts from an Austen and a Heyer and asked people to identify the Austen. It was illuminating. She's not a writer you need to be ashamed of reading IMO; they're well researched, well written and immensely entertaining.
