It's a famous tanka by Izumi Shikibu, a Japanese female court poet of about the C.14th. The one in "Vielleicht" is by her also (though I did do the one in "Pooka" [grins]). My favorite book of poetry is "The Ink dark Moon" which is a collection of her love poems and those of Ono no Komachi, another famous female poet. If you can find a copy, it's worth buying - I'm sure you'll fall in love with it too. The translation is beautifully done and the imagery in the poems is exquisite.
