Ah, well, there you go then. Sorry for sticking my oar in there, you're quite right.

I love how the bulk of what Jeeves's job is actually supposed to be is generally his lowest priority.

Well, there's the amending of the wardrobe, which falls pretty high priority-wise. But although it's true to the basic idea of what a valet's supposed to do - make sure the master looks as good as possible at all times - it's completely counter to what Proper Authorities would consider the principal duty of any subordinate, viz.: doing as you're told. Hundreds of generations of servants, of course, knew exactly how far that could and should be bent, of course, and Jeeves is sort of the most perfect example ever of that thinking. Yet another reason he's great. ^_^
