First day I join this community and this is the manifesto I see... that's a lot of pressure; I was hoping just to write an essay for my own ships. Excellent work, ma'am. I have a thought; though Orihime is not your average damsel in distress, the adoration which Ishida has for Orihime may have more respect--and therefore more distance--than intimacy. Or rather, that he would suppress his own intimate longing in order to protect her happiness, like the knight who kneels before the princess and pledges his oath of love and loyalty. There is a degree of self-denial here, and because he is such a duty-bound and honorable individual, it is likely he may never allow himself to reveal his intimate longing for Orihime.
