Part of debate is disproving the others argument, so this is perfectly acceptable. Many essays do writing on disproving the other argument before they make their points, such as CLoTi becuase Aeris is dead. Technically, that can be seen in your odd view as insulting Cloud/Aeris, when it is stating the current situation. Now, with Orihime's crush, she says that it would backtrack because of their current situations. It isn't says "Never in a bazillion years!!!111one", it says not right now.
