I started watching M*A*S*H in the early seventies, when I was in the low single digits. I grew up with it in the background, and while the first few years are vague (I was born in 1970, the first series was screened 1972), the later ones are treasured memories. I was way too young for (consciously) slashy thoughts - I've made up for it since - but those two were practically a couple in my mind.

This essay certainly does them justice, and mentions many of my most favourite moments. I'm bookmarking this so that I can come back at a later date and dip into the fic.

I was possibly the youngest kid in my school to know what a gin still looked like. *g*
