I don't blame you. I blame myself. I already had the VCDs - got 'em off some guy on eBay. They have a distressing tendency to stick at the 59th second every so often and have to be one-frame-forwarded over, but all in all - not too bad. I'd tucked my Brimstone VCDs away, because I did not need them. I did not need to watch them, I'd seen it two years or so ago. Then I read your essay and thought "snuggling? touchy-feely? Good Heavens!!" and broke out the VCDs.
Now I'm rewatching Brimstone and damn, is it ever slashy, way more so than I'd thought (and I'd thought it was slashy before!), but it isn't your fault. It's mine.
