It's true that (to the coffee-spluttering amazement of all) Buffy got reasonably good SAT scores, but then so did Cordelia. I wouldn't call Buffy particularly intelligent, and she's clearly extremely anti-intellectual.

I agree that Buffy is anti-intellectual, but she often shows an intuitive grasp of situations that argues for a high level of intelligence that is seldom used. This intelligence sems to disappear in the seventh season, but since all the characters except Dawn became parodies of themselves during that season it seems unfair to pick on her particularly for that.

IMO, if Giles is going to get involved with a) a woman and b) one who's much younger than he is, it's going to be Willow all the way.

I have trouble seeing that after she tried to kill him in "Grave," but I agree, G/W is very easy to see. I guess it doesn't hold quite the same fascination for me because it is so easy. I want a bit more conflict in my fics, but perhaps that's just me.
