Fleur isn’t one to mince words; she says what she thinks and means what she says. That can be very uncomfortable for people, especially when she’s saying things they don’t like to hear.
I'm so glad you didn't simplify Fleur to make her as flawless as her complexion. Because as beautiful, talented and smart as she is (although for some reason, people seem to forget that she's intelligent) everyone has faults, even the wonderful quater-veela Fleur (like talking through a beloved - although bad - Christmas singer's television special). But instead of making her a snob, I think that makes her more real and relatable. I'd love her less if she was just as perfect as her appearance, and I think Bill would too.
