Series: Metro 2033
Disclaimer: Metro 2033 belongs to Dmitry Glukhovsky.
Spoilers: Book + Game, except for the endings
Obscure pairing for a very popular book… In Russia, that is.
Turned into a game, which is *way* more famous around the world (although, yes, it's no way well known).
( Artyom suddenly regretted that he had succumbed to Hunter's strong charms and hypnotizing gaze… )

Title- Walk No More In The Shadows, But Awake!
Author- Jackie (blackat_t7t )
Fandom- Lord of the Rings (books only, since I've only seen bits of the movies)
Spoilers- entire book series
Disclaimer- the Lord of the Rings trology was written by J. R. R. Tolkien, and is propety of the Tolkien Estate.
Notes- I wrote this because it's a free month and I'd like to see the pairing get some love. If anyone else wants to do a more in-depth one, they're welcome to!
Title: Dreaming in Words: a Max/Liesel manifesto
Fandom: The Book Thief
Notes: I guess I felt like my love for them needed some justification. Also, this book, these characters, this pairing, and this author deserve more squeeing. SPOILERS for the entire book. You've been warned.
( "they hugged and cried and fell to the floor" )
Pairing/Characters: Percy Jackson/Annabeth Chase
Fandom: Percy Jackson and the Olympians
Spoilers: Massive spoilers for all five books.
Word count: ~4,800
Disclaimer: I am not Rick Riordan and I don't own Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
Notes: Sorry to be sliding this in so close to the deadline, mods! This essay covers Percy and Annabeth's relationship quite extensively, so if you haven't read far in the series and don't want to be spoiled for ending, I'd stay away from this. Thanks to my f-list for the help in gathering some of the fics! Enjoy!
( Because you're my friend, Seaweed Brain. Any more stupid questions? )
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Neville Longbotton/Hermione Granger
Spoilers: Books 1-7
Notes: I am assuming at least a passing familiarity with the book series and film adaptations
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: James Potter/Sirius Black
Spoilers: entire series
Notes: I'll forego a summary of the Harry Potter series here, since I'm assuming most people interested in reading this manifesto already know enough about it. ;)
( the dog and the stag )
Fandom: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
Spoilers: All four books in the series
Notes: About not just the pairing but their original shipping fandom in the 19th century.
Not many recs at the end; might add more later.
Some Things Never Change
(Jo/Laurie: Little Women)
Fandom: Jane Austen's Persuasion.
Pairing: Frederick Wentworth/Anne Elliot.
Word Count: 4178 words.
Author's Notes: Although Pride and Prejudice is my favorite book, Persuasion is a close second. While the relationship between Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet is widely acclaimed, the one between Frederick Wentworth and Anne Elliot is much less known. It is a pity, for it is a true example of love withstanding time and adversities. I’ve decided to write this manifesto as a way to share my love for this amazing couple.
Comments, suggestions, corrections and recommendations are very welcome.

Title: "Hints of Canon: Reading Between the Lines of 'The Road to El Dorado: Junior Novelization'"
Author: Kelsey (fan_of_miggie)
Fandom: The Road to El Dorado
Disclaimer: The Road to El Dorado: Junior Novelization was written by Peter Lerangis. The Road to El Dorado was created by DreamWorks Pictures.
NOTE: The bolded paragraphs are excerpts from the book. The colored font represents the sentences and fragments that I found to be particularly gay. The normal font is my commentary on the excerpts.
( Put your slash goggles on, guys--it's reading time! )
( One more thing! )
And now it's the end...:-P. I hope you all enjoyed!
Fandom: The Old Kingdom Series by Garth Nix
Spoilers: Major spoilers for Sabriel and Abhorsen. Possible spoilers for Lirael.
Disclaimer: I don't own these characters or the books. Garth Nix does.
Warning: I haven't finish reading Abhorsen for a second time, so some of this information may be incorrect, if something is wrong, please correct me.
( A love they never thought would happen )
Fandom: The Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer
Word Count: approx. 2000
Pairing: Jasper Hale and Alice Cullen
Spoilers: All published novels in the series as well as Midnight Sun .
Notes: Late due to illness. Thanks to everyone who helped out, whether you know it or not! Title comes from a quote by Stephenie Meyer: “They were already not-whole before they met, waiting for each other.”
( ”Waiting )
Fandom: The Vampire Diaries
Spoilers: For the first four books in the series. At the time of this writing, book 5, tentatively entitled "Damon," is still a work in progress. Also pairing spoilers for L.J. Smith's other works.
Thanks To: L.J. Smith. She knows nothing of this write-up, but she was the author who got me into vampires and writing many years ago, and is the sweetest, most talented author I've ever had the delight of writing back and forth with.

Fandom: Pendragon series by D. J. MacHale
Spoilers: I kept it as low as possible, tentative plot outlines of the eighth book, and a bit of a hint for something in book seven. All Second Earth (or Courtney and Mark) related.
Note: I almost didn't think I'd get this done. And it is unbeta-ed, so any and all mistakes/issues/whatever are my own. Unless they were copied from a book, then those are D.J. MacHale's mistakes. ^^
Title: Strange As Angels
Author: Carol Anne Caiafa/sweetcarolanne
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Fleur Delacour/Gabrielle Delacour
Spoilers: Contains plot details for several of the Harry Potter books, including Book 7, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Please do not read this essay if you do not want spoilers!
Disclaimer: These pretty ladies, sadly, do not belong to yours truly, but to Ms. Rowling. All the profits, ditto. She can keep the money, I just wish the Veela gals were mine!
Word Count: 1,855 (excluding long quotations and recommendations list)
Notes: When I refer to canon in this essay, I am talking about the Harry Potter books rather than the movies, as there are differences between the books and the films in terms of plot and characterisation.
( Contains descriptions of an incestuous relationship between adults - but no explicit sexual content. Please don't read if this is not your thing! )
Title: Shepherd Me As Your Heart Commands
Author: Angelica Albina/mypaleangel
Fandom: The Da Vinci Code
Pairing: Silas/Bishop Manuel Aringarosa
Spoilers: Contains plot and ending details for the Da Vinci Code novel and possibly for the film
Disclaimer: I don’t own these boys, they belong to Mr. Brown over there. I’m just borrowing them for a little while.
Word Count: 3,339 (excluding long quotations and recommendations list)
Notes: When I refer to canon in this essay, I will mostly be referring to the book, Dan Brown’s novel The Da Vinci Code. The movie of this book has some major plot differences to the novel, and though I may make mention of it from time to time when it is relevant, I consider the film a secondary source to the book’s primary text. Many thanks to everyone who contributed their support and wisdom, especially blue_nbeautiful, cassiejo and girl4edwards04.

Title: Strange Little Girls
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Luna Lovegood/Nymphadora Tonks
Spoilers: Mentions events in Order of the Phoenix and Half Blood Prince
Warnings: At the end of the essay is a picture that contains nudity and may not be work safe.
Author's Note: My contribution to free month. Because the world needs more colorful, quirky (and maybe a little transgendered) femmeslash and Luna/Tonks seems a fine place to start.
